Setroc Mobile

MVNO / MVNE / MVNA

Setroc Mobile is a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) headquartered in Bogotá, Colombia. Founded in 2017, they specialize primarily in Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and Long-Distance Operator services and maintain their own international license code. They also offer mobile numbering DIDs (Direct Inward Dialing) and a host of other enterprise services.

However, Setroc wanted to become Colombia’s first full MVNE, offering multi-operator services via one unified platform. To do this, they needed to establish their own technical infrastructure. They also needed to implement their own Home Location Register (HLR) and Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN), along with a number of other critical network elements.

For this, they turned to Pareteum’s flexible MVNE solution.

The Best Service Provider

As an MVNE, Setroc’s mission is to help businesses launch their own mobile brands. But the telecommunications market is competitive. So, they needed the ability to facilitate sophisticated, easy-to-use mobile services at competitive wholesale rates.

Pareteum’s MVNE solution was the perfect fit.

Due to its unique architecture, setting up the service was easy. Indeed, it came fully configured to address the needs of the Colombian MVNO market.

Introducing: Buenofón

In February 2021, Setroc helped the Colombian retailer Justo & Bueno launch Buenofón, a prepaid mobile service that enables users to choose exactly how much they want to spend on data.

Buenofón was the first MVNO to leverage Setroc’s MVNE offering and can be found throughout Justo & Bueno’s footprint of over 1,300 stores.
