Global Mobile / Cellular IoT Connectivity

Pareteum Mobile / Cellular IoT connectivity is a single solution supporting all connected devices. It’s a multi-country, multi-network cellular connectivity solution that’s eSIM compliant and supports local or roaming access on 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and LPWAN (NB-IoT, LTE-M) networks.

Mobile / Cellular IoT connectivity is typically deployed for outdoor and mobile IoT use cases since it offers better coverage and a better user experience. For indoor and non-mobile experiences, or to augment outdoor and mobile coverage, Pareteum offers Wi-Fi IoT Connectivity.

The Benefits of Mobile / Cellular IoT Connectivity

Why Pareteum? We do IoT better. Say goodbye to roaming restrictions, connectivity or reliability gaps, and multiple integrations that take valuable time away from your core product. With Pareteum you’ll have a single unified platform built for IoT connectivity and connectivity management. It can be used for many use cases, for instance:

Let’s say your company ships valuable products all around the world. To improve customer experience, you want to keep them informed about the status and expected time of delivery for each shipment with as much detail and frequency as possible. You also want better insight when shipments go missing so you can reduce the costs associated with failed deliveries, including lost wares, re-shipping, strained customer relationships, etc.

With Mobile / Cellular IoT connectivity, you can track your shipments all around the globe, give frequent updates of the expected delivery times, and easily track where a shipment went missing. You can even configure Mobile / Cellular IoT connectivity to remotely raise an alarm with shipment status updates via your IoT solutions.

Connect My Shipments!

In some cities, residents must pay to throw their garbage away in city-owned collection bins. This is often facilitated via IoT trashcans, which detect client subscriptions based on a contract or rate card. From there, collection works the same way. Cities send garbage trucks along pre-determined routes to collect the garbage and empty the collection bins.

However, with Mobile / Cellular connectivity, these IoT trashcans can be configured to tell garbage collectors when collection bins are nearly full or when they’re still relatively empty. This means they’ll be able to avoid unnecessary collection stops and prioritize areas where bins are fuller. Not only does this make garbage collection more efficient, but it also impacts quality of life for citizens in a variety of important ways.

How Does Mobile / Cellular Connectivity Work?

Pareteum’s software-defined cellular connectivity solution, Smart SIM, is a brand-new solution designed to solve the many challenges affecting IoT project rollouts. It uses a policy-based approach for defining eSIM-compliant connectivity profiles with multi-country, multi-network coverage and reach on over 700 mobile networks worldwide.

Pareteum’s Smart SIM is based on a single global eSIM solution, which can be installed regardless of device location and can be programmed remotely with multiple operator profiles. The Smart SIM solution is also suitable for Bootstrap IoT Connectivity for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Smart SIMs (eSIMs) support all form factors, including 2FF, 3FF, and 4FF, and can also be delivered as MFF.
